Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of an organization-wide security architecture and define and maintain security policies, standards, best practices and processes, and ensure compliance to them.
Perform regular risk assessments on the company's information assets to determine value, sensitivity, and risk of loss or compromise.
Evaluate new threats and implement solutions to mitigate risks to an acceptable level.
Design and oversee implementation of appropriate access control mechanisms in all computing platforms.
Perform security and vulnerability assessments on existing and new implementations of software applications and systems.

Job Requirements:
Master's degree in computer science/management information systems or equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution
Security certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
Sound knowledge of security policies, standards, procedures, processes and best practices in the information security arena.
Sound knowledge of the latest security threats and countermeasures for the platforms and technologies in the use within the company.
Working knowledge of the security functions for standard workstation and server platforms (AS400, Windows 2000/3, Linux).
Working knowledge of communications protocols (especially TCP/IP) and associated security issues.
Proficiency in the design of security infrastructure.
Working knowledge of operations of key information security devices (routers, firewalls, anti-spam, anti-virus, intrusion detection, Microsoft Internet & Security Acceleration Server, etc.).
Sound knowledge of business continuity planning.
Proficiency in policy and procedure writing.
Good project management and technical report writing skills.
Good planning, time management and organizational skills.
Sound interpersonal skills.
A minimum of three (3) year's experience in a computerized information management system.
